Are you measuring your website activity? How many people are you signing up? How many are contacting you through your online form? Purchasing from you?

What is your goal, where are you at & where do you want to be?

Here are a few tips to get you moving towards a higher conversion rate on your website.

1.       Target the Right People.

You want to create your messages & content to those that will most likely buy from you. What do they look like? Where do they come from? What is the knowledge of your industry & you? One of the rules of marketing is that your next customer will look a lot like your last customer.

2.       Build your Database.

Create a monthly email to customers & prospects. Ask them to sign up on your website. Tell them why they would want to sign up – what’s in it for them, what would they gain from signing up. And regularly email them to ‘nurture’ your prospects & repeat customers.

3.       Add Value.

Create content, offer some sort of value exchange wither it be education of your business or industry, a free consultation or offer.

4.       Your Credibility is Key.

Ensure the information on your website is accurate, make it easy for people to get a hold of you. Increase trust by proving what you claim. Use testimonials, 3rdparty reviews, and or, case studies.

5.       Be Sincere and Transparent.

Don’t use Jargon or snappy sales talk. Avoid using acronyms. Talk to your prospective client in a way you know they will understand.

6.       Ask for ‘The Order’.

Or provide a clear path to the action you want your prospect to perform. On your landing page and product pages, remove or minimize everything that is not relevant to users taking action. You will improve your response rate if you tell people exactly what you want them to do & ask them more than once.

7.       Focus on your Prospective Customer not your Product or Service.

People want to know what you can do for them; the benefits to them, not the features of your product & or service. Add pictures, videos, reviews. Convince them as to why they need your products or services. Put your strongest benefit front & center, put it in bold.

8.       Be Clear on your Value Proposition.

This is the primary reason why someone should buy from you. Why they would not go to your competition.  Make sure you find a way to differentiate yourself from your top competitor, make it easy for your prospects to buy now.

9.       Address Objections.

Think about the possible hesitations and objections your potential customers might have. Ensure you have content to address, eliminate or alleviate those concerns on your website.

10.   Use an Expert.

To help you develop your website, brand & key messages. This may be the only part of your company that anyone will actually see. This is your one chance to make an impression & bring people back, make sure you put your best foot forward & what you ‘put out there’ represents your company, your brand image & what you offer.
